Nikon D80 pictures leaked; some features and
specifications out
The first few pictures of the Nikon D80 102.megapixel
DSLR are out; discussions rage on features and
specifications on the Net.
Okay, the first few leaked pictures of the Nikon D80 10.2
megapixel DSLR are out. The regularity with which stuff
keeps leaking seems almost like a deliberate advertising
strategy these days.
Scroll down to see the D80 pictures below. We have three
now, more soon!
So what do we know about the Nikon D80 so far? For one,
the D80 will be a replacement for the Nikon D70 and D70s.
Exactly in what way? Well, the current 6.1 megapixel count
goes out, and you get 10.2 megapixels, almost exactly the
asme as the Sony A100 DSLR. Remember that Nikon already uses
Sony sensors, so there is a good chance that that same
sensor would make its way into the Nikon D80. Do we
get a full frame sensor for the Nikon D80 - and get rid of
the 'irritating' 1.5 x magnification factor of the current
APS-C sensors? There is no definite information that. There
are many who consider the 1.5x magnification a boon - and
there are many who think its irritating. As long as the
image processing and clarity and optics remain as good as
they are, more megapixels are always welcome in a DSLR. If
you want to grab the first reviews of the Nikon D80, sure we
would give it a shot. However, more much more detailed
reviews by the top guns in photography, you should visit dpreview,
the
digital photography weblog, shutterbug
or Popular Photography. 19
more days to go - have fun waiting!
From this angle, the D80 looks almost the same as the D70s
it will replace.
