16GB Flash Drive from Toshiba

Toshiba has announced its new TransMemory USB flash drives that will range in capacity from 512MB to 16GB. All of the new TransMemory cards (with the exception of the 16GB Limited Edition model) will support U3 technology which allows users to not only carry along with their data files, but also their applications and personal computer settings. It also supports a password-based security protection system for USB memories that can be downloaded for free from Pocket Media, Toshiba's memory card information
site.

TransMemory drives in capacities of 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB will be available in late November. The TransMemory 16GB Limited Edition model will be available in late December exclusively through Shop 1048, Toshiba's online shop. Pricing has not yet been announced for the drives.

The biggest news over here is 16 GB USB drive which is unquestionably a huge storage space in your pocket. Toshiba along with other Japanese manufacturers are all set to continuously change the definitions of small and huge for us. Recently they have also announced the range of Hard drives from 0.85 Inches to 2.5 Inches.
