Axes launches the VP8360-B/100 PMP
A 100 GB media player for your music and movies!
The Axes Corporation has introduced a PMP for the media buffs to combat against the iPod video. The
VP8360-B/100 boasts of an amazing 100GB of memory to store your favourite movies and music. The Axes
PMP sports a 3.5 inch TFT LCD which supports a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.
The Axes VP8360-B/100 PMP supports a wide range of video formats such as AVI, MOV, MPEG-1 and
MPEG-4. An additional feature to support Video recording via microphone and in line terminal is is also
included in the PMP.
The PMP supports audio formats such as MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV. Other than the usual PMP functions,
the Axes VP8360-B/100 can also made to work in conjunction with Compact Flash, Memory Stick
Pro/Duo/Pro Duo, SD card, Mini SD cards, MMC and Micro drives.
Files can be copied to the hard disk first and can then be transferred to the memory card. Another feature
of the Axes VP8360-B/100 is that it has an FM tuner with recording functionality.
The output from the PMP can be taken out and then can be viewed on a big TV screen. For this purpose, an
additional TV out is also provided. The dimensions of the PMP are 72 x 135 x 23mm and it weighs just 236
grams. The Axes VP8360-B/100 PMP will go on sale in July in Japan for a price of 69,800 Yen ($ 610).
