MacBook pro from Apple with intel core duo chip

MacBook pro features the new Intel chip for better performance

Apple has announced the launch of MacBook Pro which features the Intel Core Duo processor. Apple also promises that the new MacBook will provide performance five times that of the PowerBook G4.

The new notebook from Apple comes in an aluminium enclosure which is one inch thin. Weighing only 6.8 pounds, MacBook Pro features an in-built iSight video camera for the frequently flying traveller for video conferencing. Using Apple Remote, it ensures Front Row media experience.

Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice-president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said, "The 17-inch MacBook Pro delivers the speed and screen area of a professional desktop system in the world's best notebook design. With Intel's state-of-the-art dual-core processor, the new MacBook Pro delivers unrivalled performance in an innovative, sleek, one-inch thin design."

The new MacBook Pro also has a MagSafe power adapter, which has been built by Apple for the mobile users. The processor that comes with the Pro is 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor. The frot side bus is 667 MHz and the memory is 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory. The memory can further be expanded to 2 GB.

The Apple MacBook Pro also has Photo Booth which is an application which allows users take quick photos with the in-built iSight video camera. To enhance viewing images and reaing text, Apple has made the display 36 percent brighter. For connectivity, it has a FireWire 800 port , three USB 2.0 ports, built-in Bluetooth 2.0 and integrated AirPort Extreme 54 Mbps 802.11g WiFi wireless networking.
