eBay and Opera team up for mobile transactions

In Germany, eBay users can use Opera's Mobile Mini Browser for transactions.

eBay users can now have their transactions through mobile phones. Using the web browser of opera, users can now do sales and other transactions on their mobile phones.

Opera will use a customised Mini Mobile Web Browser through which users can access the eBay online trading place. The service is mainly aimed at the customers in Germany. 

The deal will be such that Opera will get a share of the transactions in eBay being done through Opera. Germany currently has 20 milliion users and is the second largets market for eBay after Unite States.

Currently 3 million users are using the Opera's Mini edition and for the specific purpose of the deal with eBay, it will use an Opera Mini eBay edition. The eBay Mini edition is expected to be released later this month.
