Microsoft to release Visual System Team Edition for the Database Professional

Microsoft adds database tool to Visual Studio system.

Microsoft has included a database oriented tool to its Visual Studio system. This is aimed at database professionals so that the company's sales to large enterprises can be boosted up in a big way.

Microsoft plans to release the Visual System Team Edition for the Database Professional at the Microsoft TechEd conference on June 12. The sales are expected to start by the end of 2006.

The new product will have various tools for participants in the software development process, including coders, testers, project managers and architects who design systems. This is mainly aimed at the large enterprises sector.

The new product will make it much more easier for the database professionals to administrate and make changes to the database schemas, say Microsoft executives. It uses a tool called "source code conversion control tool', so that communication can be better enhanced between the different professionals.

Microsoft is establishing ties between its Visual Studio Team System and its Office project to make it easier for high-level technology managers the progress checking and company portfolio analysis.
