Microsoft puts an end to unauthorized downloads of Vista
Microsoft blocks vistatorrent.com from distributing Windows Vista downloads.
Microsoft is all set to stop the unauthorized Vista downloads on the net. In an effort to boost up its moves against the unauthorized downloads of Microsoft Windows Vista from the net, Microsoft has forwarded a cease-and-desist order to VistaTorrent.com. The site distributes the latest version of Windows Vista, the all new operating system from Microsoft.
The usual system is to stop third parties from distributing the content provided by Microsoft, said the company spokesman. Microsoft has said that it cannot take responsibility for the code that is not supplied through its own chanels.
The statement from Microsoft said, "We appreciate that people are excited about obtaining Windows Vista Beta 2, and we encourage anyone interested in experiencing the Beta to visit the official Web site."
The VistaCurrent site is owned by a bunch of Microsoft enthusiasts. The main creators of the site are Chris Pirillo and Jake Ludington. Pirillo says Microsoft is doing a mistake by stopping such efforts by other parties, which would only help the sale of Microsoft's products.
The unrestricted access to Windows Vista 2 software has already been stopped by Microsoft as it fears that the demand would cripple the other online services by Microsoft.
