MTV and Lionsgate to add new contents to iTunes

The iTunes music store will have the latest content from Lionsgate and MTV Networks. While MTV will increase the presence of its content in the iTunes music store, Lionsgate will add the latest content from its sources to the iTunes.

From now onwards, Lionsgate will include The Dead Zone on iTunes in association with USA network. this move makes Lionsgate the first in a "myriad of platforms being considered jointly for electronic sell-through opportunities" around the series.

Lionsgate and Paramount International Television are the producers of the Dead Zone series and the Dead Zone is now on the fifth season on TV. The Dead Zone can be watched on iTunes, a day after their premieres on TV.

MTV has included new programming to the iTunes from Spike TV, Nick at Night, TV Land, Logo, MTV and The N. Some of the new contents that the iTunes will feature are MTV prank-comedy show Viva La Bam, TV Land's Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg, Nick at Night's animated comedy Fatherhood and original Logo drama/comedy series Noah's Arc.

iTunes will also have new Spike TV action show Blade: The Series. Blade has so far attracted almost 2.5 million fans. The new programs from both MTV and Lionsgate is sure to take the fan following of iTunes to new heights.
