Sonic EyeTV 250 TV tuner
Sonic Japan has introduced the Sonic EyeTV 250, which is a TV tuner and it resembles the Mac-Mini. An analog tuner is integrated into the device. Through USB 2.0, it can be connected to the host.
Using the Sonic EyeTV 250, you will be able to view the television programs on Mac and it also lets you to record your favourite programs as well. Using the iEPG (Internet Electronic Program Guide), users will be able to record the programs from the website itself.
A major feature of Sonic EyeTV 205 is that, programs can be recorded in real-time in MPEG1/ MPEG2 formats,
without causing any additional load on the CPU. Necessary software is also provided with the EyeTv 250, so that users can convert their programs to MPEG4 format so as to watch it on iPod Video.
The Sonic EyeTV 250 also features a Toast 7 Titanium for CD / DVD burning.
The dimensions of the Sonic EyeTV 250 are 64×104×29mm and the weight is 130 grams. The TV tuner will be available in Japan from October under a price tag of 29,900 Yen ($ 255).
