Spreadsheet from Google
At spreadsheet.google.com, a registered user can use the new online spreadsheet from
Google.
Google has launched its online spreadsheet. The simplified, modest and easily accessible spreadsheet can be accessed by registering at spreadsheet.google.com.
Users need to sign in to access the spreadsheet. The grid embedded in the spreadsheet is quite big and eats away a lot of space. The bar contains buttons for normal functions such as cut, copy, paste and redo and includes three tabs too.
The users are served in a first-come-first-serverd basis. The product comes from the Google Labs and is quite easy to use in terms of functionality. The user interface is quite simple and has an easy way of understanding things. All the basic forms if input, such as mouse, keyboard and the arrow keys work pretty well as we expect.
When doing functions such as opening, closing and exporting other spreadsheets, the product is a bit slow. But Google has made all other fucntions work exceptionally well. It has good library of formulae, multiple worksheet support, and good formatting features. Printing feature is not included in the spreadsheet but you can do it from your browser. The space actually devoted to the Google spreadsheet is not that enough, and it depends on your screen resolution.
