Samsung launches the SGH-i320 smartphone

The latest entry into the smartphone market is Samsung SGH-i320. This marks Samsung's entry into the smartphone segment. The SGH-i320 supports GSM (900 / 1800 / 1900). 

The Samsung SGH-i320 runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and features a QWERTY keyboard. The seems like a lookalike of Motorola Q. The mobile phone is only 11.5mm thick and has a sleek design.

For better viewing of the images, a large 2.2inch LCD screen is also included in the mobile phone. The SGH-i320 has a 1.3 mega-pixel high resoution camera. For high-level multimedia entertainment, the phone is equipped with high quality dual speakers. 

The Samsung SGH-i320 has Bluetooth functionality. The users can send and receive e-mails by connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. For this functionality, Samsung has included Messaging & Security Feature Pack (MSFP) software with the mobile phone.

The phone is expected to make a wave among business users and GSM users who want a slim cell phone high top-of-the-line functionalities. The mobile phone will have to combat against the likes of Motorola Q in the market. The other major featrures of the SGH-i320 are EDGE, Bluetooth, 120 MB internal memory, MicroSD card slot. But the cell phone lacks Wi-Fi functionality.

The Samsung Sgh-i320 is expected to make its debut in Europe in July. No word is available yet on the pricing.
