Samsung launches the Ultra Edition cell phones
At the CommunicAsia 2006 , Samsung launched a new range of cell phones which promise to take mobile communications to new heights. The new series of
cell phones is called " Ultra Edition" and it includes 3 handsets.
The Ultra Edition presents a line of 3 cell phones namely the Ultra Edition 6.9 (X820), the Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900), and the Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830).
The Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830) is a clamshell handset which comes in 85 grams and is 9.8mm thin. It is equipped with a 2 mega-pixel camera and has a 2.3inch wide display. For extra memory storage, an external memory slot is included.
The Ultra Edition 6.9 (X820) is a mere 6.9mm thin cell phone equipped with a 2 mega-pixel camera. It weighs just 66 grams. It includes a fully functional keypad and a brilliantly
chiseled surface.
The Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900) is a 12.9mm thin cell phone which has a 3.13 mega-pixel camera. It weighs just 85 grams and includes all the latest technologies in multimedia. The phone is aimed at business professionals.
Kitae Lee, president - telecommunication network business, Samsung said, " it is human nature for people to communicate with others, and that Samsung's Ultra Editions are dedicated to bringing people together with functionality and ease-of-use."
The new range of Ultra Edition cell phones from Samsung will be
commercially available later this year. The pricing of the Ultra Edition cell phones is not available so far.
